Client Profile
Alif Tech is a FinTech developer with a portfolio of solutions for payments, money transfers, online shopping, and Buy Now, Pay Later services, partnered with over 3500 stores across Uzbekistan.
As a subsidiary of the expansive holding company, Alif Capital Holdings Limited, which is headquartered in the UK, Alif Tech was established in Uzbekistan in 2019. The company’s business activities started with the launch of a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service. Currently, Alif Tech is actively engaged in the development of three FinTech products within the country: the BNPL service mentioned before, as well as an e-commerce marketplace and payment solution app.
As of now, Alif Tech has firmly established itself as a leader in Uzbekistan’s FinTech market.
Before turning to Servercore, Alif Tech used both its own equipment and another local provider’s cloud solutions for hosting, as well as data storage and processing. Ensuring the smooth operation of Alif Tech’s digital services requires powerful and flexible cloud services capable of handling extreme workloads. The company also needed the ability to quickly scale up its resources in the event of an unexpected traffic spike.
Why Alif Tech Chose Servercore
However, the previous contractor’s technical capabilities fell short of meeting Alif Tech’s business needs. Specifically, the company could not adjust the amount of resources consumed by virtual machines and lacked API capabilities, which proved inconvenient.
Servercore’s cloud products and services offered several features that appealed to the company:

Alif Tech seamlessly migrated from their previous provider and an on-premise solution to Servercore’s cloud, encountering no issues along the way. Throughout the migration project, Servercore’s engineers offered extensive support, ensuring minimal downtime for Alif Tech’s FinTech services. As a result, the client was able to decrease unexpected equipment downtime by 80%.
Alif Tech currently rents custom cloud servers from Servercore, featuring 660 virtual cores and using over 2 TB of RAM for data processing. Alif Tech leverages Managed Kubernetes to ensure service availability and stability, while also utilizing Container Registry for storing container images. The company was able to further enhance work efficiency and data protection by using object storage solutions, load balancers, cloud databases and firewalls.
As a result of Servercore’s assistance, Alif Tech has been able to devote more time and resources to developing and improving their own products. This shift in focus has resulted in over 30% reduction in time spent on managing IT infrastructure and in a 6-times decrease in incidents. Alif Tech’s technical specialists have experienced a significant boost in overall productivity, while the process of setting up IT processes within the company has been greatly simplified.
Previously, Alif Tech experienced several challenges in setting up and maintaining clusters. However, with Servercore’s support, they managed to leverage Kubernetes clustering and solve the issue. Transitioning to a modern technology stack has led to improved operational efficiency and expanded technical capabilities for Alif Tech.
Looking ahead, the company aims to scale up its business and anticipates requiring additional server capacity for upcoming projects. With confidence in Servercore’s services, Alif Tech is prepared to select Servercore as its technology partner for these new projects.
